Getting Ready at Starshine Texas

The day began with quiet anticipation as Kaitlin and her bridesmaids got ready together. Kaitlin wore the most stunning gown. It had delicate lace and beaded detailing. She completed her bridal look with a dramatic necklace that draped beautifully down her spine. It was elegant, classic, and full of personality.

Thomas looked equally sharp in a navy blue suit with a mint green bowtie. Therefore, making it a perfect nod to their spring color palette. His calm energy and sweet smile set the tone for the rest of the day. The wedding party also looked amazing in mint green bridesmaid dresses and matching navy suits for the groomsmen, creating a cohesive and elegant look that popped beautifully against the rustic textures of Starshine Texas.

A Tender First Look

One of the most emotional moments of the day was Kaitlin and Thomas’s first look. Set against the soft greenery and blooming spring trees, they shared a quiet moment that was full of love and happy tears. You could tell how much these two mean to each other just by the way they looked at one another. Thomas was completely speechless when he saw Kaitlin for the first time, and we were wiping our eyes behind the cameras too. It was a moment full of peace and genuine love, and one we know they’ll treasure forever.

The ceremony took place at Our Lady of Lourdes (Lộ Đức) Catholic Church, a space full of significance and beautiful tradition. The ceremony was heartfelt, and a perfect reflection of their love story. There was a sweet stillness in the air. It was one of those moments where everything feels just right. Watching Kaitlin & Thomas exchange vows surrounded by their loved ones was truly moving.

Wedding Party at Houston Rustic Wedding Venues

After the ceremony, the celebration continued at Starshine Texas, one of our favorite Houston rustic wedding venues. We had so much fun capturing wedding party photos near the barn. The soft mint green and navy color palette looked amazing. Despite a packed schedule, the wedding party brought so much joy and laughter to this part of the day. Therefore, making it felt like a group of best friends just enjoying life and celebrating something really special.

Bride & Groom Portraits in Two Beautiful Outfits

One of the absolute highlights of the day was photographing Kaitlin & Thomas in two incredible outfits — first in their classic wedding attire, and later in their traditional Vietnamese and Filipino garments.

After the wedding party photos, Kaitlin changed into a gorgeous red áo dài, a traditional Vietnamese dress that stood out beautifully in the evening light. Thomas wore a formal barong, a traditional embroidered Filipino shirt. The cultural richness of these looks added such depth to their wedding day, and it was such a joy to photograph this sweet couple in both styles. Not only did it reflect their heritage, but it also made the day feel even more personal and meaningful.

After their traditional outfits, they changed back into their classic wedding attire for more bride and groom portraits. And they were absolutely dreamy. In her lace wedding dress and delicate veil, Kaitlin looked like something out of a fairytale. Thomas, standing proudly beside her, couldn’t take his eyes off her. We walked around Starshine Texas soaking up the last bit of spring sunshine and utilizing everything this venue had to offer.

The reception at Starshine Texas was full of warmth. Inside the barn, the tables were dressed with soft pinks, mint greens, and cream accents. Therefore, creating a romantic and welcoming atmosphere. The rustic wood walls gave everything that cozy feel we love so much about Houston rustic wedding venues.

The food was a perfect fusion of love and culture, with Vietnamese catering from Kim Son, and a dessert table filled with Filipino sweets. It was such a fun and meaningful way to honor both families’ backgrounds and bring everyone together through food and celebration.

Kaitlin & Thomas’s wedding was everything a spring wedding should be. It was sweet, kind, and full of joy. From their emotional first look to their stunning traditional outfits and heartfelt reception, their day was a perfect reminder of what really matters: love, family, and celebrating together.
