Galveston Wedding Photographers

There’s something truly special about Galveston. Maybe it’s the way the sea breeze drifts in as the sun sets over the Gulf. Or the way downtown’s historic buildings whisper stories from another era. Or maybe it’s just the feeling you get when you're standing on the beach with someone you love, completely wrapped up in the moment.

As Galveston wedding photographers, we get to experience this magic time and time again — and it never gets old. Whether you're planning a barefoot elopement on the sand or a grand celebration in a historic hotel, Galveston is a place where love stories come to life. And if you're dreaming of getting married here, we’d be truly honored to capture your story.

Your Guide to Weddings in Galveston

Galveston has this way of slowing things down, in the best way. Life feels a little softer here, a little more intentional. That’s probably why we love photographing weddings on the island so much — the light is golden and the scenery is beautiful.

No two weddings in Galveston ever feel the same. One weekend we might be capturing an intimate beachfront vow exchange at sunset, and the next, we're in a candlelit ballroom surrounded by twinkle lights and dancing. It’s a place where love stories feel like they belong — full of character, warmth, and soul.

Make it a weekend

If you're dreaming of a ceremony on the beach, good news — a beach permit usually isn’t required unless you’re planning to rope off an area of the beach or set up a loudspeaker.

Beach Permits Are a Thing

The Gulf breeze is part of the charm, but it can also be strong — especially on the beach. Keep that in mind for veils, hairstyles, and decor. And always have a backup plan just in case of rain.

The best months to get married in Galveston are March through May and September through November, when the temperatures are comfortable and the humidity is lower.

Summer weddings can be absolutely beautiful, but keep in mind that the weather is typically hot and humid. It’s a good idea to plan for breaks in the air conditioning.

Hurricane season runs from June through November. Don’t let that scare you — just be prepared with a solid backup plan and consider getting event insurance.
